MISSION

The Diversity Awareness Initiative for Students, DAIS, is an organization dedicated to strengthening our schools and ourselves, through increased knowledge, awareness, and respect for different cultures.  Its members are comprised of students from independent, public, and parochial schools, who wish to discuss and improve human relations within the community and society at large.

DAIS Executive Committee Meeting & Facilitator Training at Browning School

Determine the topic of discussion for the next DAIS general meeting of the school year! 

All students in grades 8 - 12 who are interested in being part of the Executive Committee (EC) and representing their school are welcome to attend the meeting. We encourage anybody who is willing to make the commitment to participate.  ALL ARE WELCOME!!

We will be planning the next general DAIS meeting of the school year. Come with creative, interesting and exciting topics of discussion. You and your input determine the type of topics and discussions for our DAIS meetings!

Have you thought about facilitating a meeting at school, or any organization that you are a part of? Are you looking to brush up on your facilitator skills?

We will cover the building blocks of how to facilitate great discussions, from planning to working out various situations. We will even have an enthusiastic and fun practice session!

Directions by train- Take the 4 or 5 train to 59th Street. Walk north on Lexington Avenue to East 62nd Street. Make a left onto East 62nd and walk west until you are between Park and Madison Avenues. The school is on the left side of the block.
