MISSION

The Diversity Awareness Initiative for Students, DAIS, is an organization dedicated to strengthening our schools and ourselves, through increased knowledge, awareness, and respect for different cultures.  Its members are comprised of students from independent, public, and parochial schools, who wish to discuss and improve human relations within the community and society at large.

Topic of Discussion- “You thought I was feeling you?”: Preference vs prejudice in dating culture

All students in grades 8 - 12, who are interested in participating in DAIS are invited to attend this meeting for discussion.

Directions by train- Take the 4 or 5 train to 86th Street. Take the 6 local train to 96th Street. Walk south on Lexington Avenue to East 95th Street. Make a left onto East 95th and walk east until you are between 1st and 2nd Avenues. The school is on the right side of the block. 

-OR- Take the Q train to 96th Street. Walk south on 2nd Avenue to East 95th St. Make a left onto East 95th. The school is on the right side of the block between 1st and 2nd Avenues.
